Character

This is pretty much the first character model I've spent a lot of time on. I'm not really all that satisfied with it, but I ran out of time to get it to where I wanted and ran into a lot of problems. The rig is just a quick one just to pose. Oh well! Next model should be cool. Gonna make a space dragon :)



One of the more frustrating things ( and I don't know why this happens) is that my texture is really crisp and sharp and detailed in photoshop, but doesn't show up that well when I render. Its like the rendering process takes detail out, which makes no sense to me.

  1. in the mental ray options, go to the framebuffer tab.. Switch filter type from gaussian to lanczos..

    gauss is a blur / soft filter
    lanczos will sharpen your render.
